Napa Valley Weekend Itinerary
Where should you go to enjoy the fall in Northern California at the end of October? The Napa Valley is a great place to visit in late October. Napa Valley is known to be the mecca of Cabernet Sauvignon and is rich in natural beauty, and it's not the first time we've been here, nor is it the first time we've been introduced to wine-tasting in Napa (see the previousDay Trip Wine TastingI'm not going to say much about the itinerary. This time, we arranged a more extensive two days and one night itinerary, and spent more time enjoying the food and seeing the fall scenery in addition to the wine tasting. Along the way, we could see the golden color of the vineyards.
- Day 1: Wine tasting at two wineries, Pine ridge and Silver Oak in the morning and two in the afternoon, lunch at Bistro Jeanty, dinner atBothe-Napa Valley State Park Camping.
- Day 2: Hiking at Bothe-Napa Valley State Park in the morning, lunch at Solbar in Calistoga, and shopping in Yountville in the afternoon.
Yountville Fall Scene
Yountville is a small, bustling town north of Napa with many great restaurants and winery-owned tasting rooms. Most people come to Yountville to eat, but in fact, Yountville also has a lot of activities, even for non-drinkers, you can come to Yountville to shop, bike, or find a good spa to relax and enjoy. It's no wonder why so many people in Northern Canada like to come to Napa.
Come to Yountville in the fall, Yountville itself is very beautiful, the streetscape is very beautiful in fall colors.
Yountville is a place to spend half a day savoring. There are many sculptures on the road, adding to the artistic atmosphere of the fall scenery.

Pine ridge WineryThe first stop of our wine tasting was a winery located in Stags leap district. The price of the wine tasting was $55 per person, and there were quite a lot of red wines, including Sauvignon Blanc, Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, but the price of the wine tasting was a little bit high in terms of the price of the wines included. We had originally reserved outdoor seating, but it was too cold that morning, so we were given indoor seating. The ambience was good, but due to the design of the space, the conversation was a bit noisy.
Pine ridge specializes in Cabernet Sauvignon like other Napa valley wineries, but I liked the Malbec on the list, and the Charmstone that the waiter recommended at the end, which had a great aroma and flavor.

Silver OakThere are several different wine tasting lists to choose from, we chose two Twomey Pinot Noir and two Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon, the price is $60 which is a bit high, but in the end, we got two wine glasses as souvenirs, and the staff's explanations were quite detailed. Silver oak is characterized by the use of American oak barrels instead of the French oak used by most wineries, which adds some vanilla flavors to the wine. The two Pinot Noirs were from Russian valley and Anderson valley, and the two Cabernet Sauvignons were from Alexander valley and Napa valley. The wine tasting was indoors in a comfortable environment, and the outdoor area was beautifully organized.

Bistro JeantyThis is a French restaurant that has been awarded one Michelin star. The restaurant is small but very cozy and the outdoor area is great. We ordered crispy pig feet with mustard sauce and Escargots, which is escargot with garlic flavor, and the boneless pig feet with mustard sauce, which is a thin layer of flour coated pig feet to be deep fried, which is very flavorful, unlike the hard skin of the German style pig feet and the meat inside is very tender. The meat inside was soft and tender. For the main course, I had the Entrecôte Frites, which is French steak with French fries, and it was very good. The special of the day, Beef bourguignon, was a stewed beef in red wine. The red wine sauce was very refreshing and did not overpower the main dish, and the beef melted in your mouth, which was also super tasty. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Finally, I ordered a chocolate creme brûlée for dessert.

SolbarIt is part of the Solage Hotel.Solage HotelThe hotel itself is a high-class spa hotel, and Solbar is a new American restaurant. Like the hotel, the restaurant itself is also modern and in the style of a high class hotel. We came for lunch and ordered Autumn squash veloute, spicy gulf shrimp lettuce wraps for appetizer, and solbar's petrale fish taco and Mishima reserve wagyu burger for main course. The Autumn squash veloute was filled with cheese and cranberry, which was melted into the soup and served with crunchy pumpkin seeds, and the spicy gulf shrimp lettuce wraps were made with ingredients that could be wrapped in their own ingredients and then drizzled with sauces with a dropper, which was fresh and refreshing. solbar's petrale fish taco tasted great. petrale fish taco eat up very solid, fish fried just right, with pickled Thai chili, eat up very fragrant. mishima reserve wagyu burger fellow friends super push, meat is very juicy, do not need extra sauce, with rich vegetables can eat the original flavor of the ingredients. The menu looks simple, but the flavor is quite amazing, the overall presentation and service are exquisite style.

Bouchon bakeryYountville's internet famous store, every time I come here, there is a long queue outside. They sell French bread and desserts, and it is a pleasure to buy a cup of coffee with the signature macarons and sit by the side to enjoy the fall scenery. The most recommended macaron flavor is Salted caramel.
