The Lobster Pot

Cape Cod Three Days and Two NightsThe itinerary for both days of theProvincetownHarborsideThe lobster potMeals (other than these two meals, we basically ate dry food on the go while sightseeing). The restaurant is in a very convenient location, and because of its reputation, there was a line out the door even during the off-season, so I'm sure it's easy to find. Most of the seafood was fresh, and although the viewpoints were a bit pricey, the best thing about this restaurant was the great view of the harbor.

A total of four courses were ordered here on the evening of the first day:

  • Appetizer lobster rivoli: This is a signature appetizer recommended on the internet, and I personally think the taste is moderate.
  • Steamed clams: I ordered this because I love clams, and it was fine.
  • The main course, cajun bouillabaisse, is a chowder with a variety of seafood, nicely seasoned, and freshly made.
  • The main course, Portuguese fish, was a triumph of seasoning and freshness. For a popular restaurant in a busy tourist area, this entree gets an 8 out of 10.

The next day after noon, there were not many restaurants open during the off-season, and since I was impressed with The lobster pot the day before, I came back to patronize it again. This time it was for lunch, and I ordered the same four-course meal, but since I had already spent a lot of money on seafood the day before, I was a little more restrained this day and focused on filling up my stomach:

  • Soup lobster bisque: just plain lobster bisque.
  • Soup clam chowder: in fact, the feeling is very concentrated, after drinking soup are almost saturated.
  • Lobster salad panini: A compromise between not wanting to eat too much and wanting to eat the signature lobster dish. The lobster was very fresh (after all, there's a whole bunch of live lobsters right in front of the store), the panini itself was a cold sandwich, and I personally thought the sauce was a bit too much, I don't usually like too much sauce, but luckily the lobster was huge, so I was able to get the flavor of the fresh lobster.
  • Entrée fish and chips: This is the same fish and chips that you would find in any harbor or roadside in the United States. The fish was still fresh, seasoned and fried just right, but the chips were not so good.
