Boulder | Introduction
Boulder is a small town located next to the Rocky Mountains, approximately a 30-minute drive northwest of Denver. It is a vibrant city known for its spectacular natural beauty, lively cultural atmosphere, and a wealth of outdoor activities in the surrounding area. There are many outdoor activities near Boulder; it's a popular skiing destination in Colorado during the winter. In other seasons, you can enjoy breathtaking mountain views, hiking, and biking. The famous University of Colorado Boulder is also located here, giving the city a younger vibe compared to other cities. If you enjoy shopping, Boulder also has some unique shops and boutiques.
Boulder is located on the must-passing route between Denver and the Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the most popular destinations in the US. If your destination is the Rocky Mountain National Park, you should stop here for at least half a day to adjust and adapt to the high altitude environment. This will make it easier for you to adapt when you enter the Rocky Mountain National Park.

Downtown Boulder | Pearl Street Mall
The downtown area of Boulder is a vibrant shopping street known as Pearl Street Mall. This shopping district spans six blocks and is the most popular tourist attraction in Boulder. It combines cafes, restaurants, art performances, and various shops, creating a lively atmosphere where visitors can experience the unique vibe and energy of Boulder. It seems that people here, whether tourists or locals, are quite relaxed and friendly.
We only stayed in Boulder for half a day, and most of the time was spent on Pearl Street Mall. The entire red brick road is a pedestrian walkway, and it might take just about half an hour to walk through quickly. However, I very much enjoyed the relaxed feeling of strolling leisurely on the beautiful red brick road, with the magnificent Rocky Mountains as a backdrop. Buying a cup of coffee from a local café and taking a walk along the street brings a unique joy, so I ended up spending half the day there without even realizing it. The outdoor gear stores here are really fun to browse, including a specialized Black Diamond store. The shopping street also features performing arts and musical performances, and in the summer, many outdoor activities and music festivals are held on the street.
Brunch | Snooze AM eatery
- Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Price: $$$$
Snooze AM Eatery is quite famous for its brunch. The original restaurant is located in Denver and is known for its creative breakfast menu, which has garnered a large number of fans. There are many branches, including some in California. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice, but it's quite crowded. Initially, we were told that the waiting time would be over an hour, but it didn't actually take that long. The menu offers a wide variety of options, and everything looks great. We finally decided to order the Bella Bella Benny and the Garden Harvest Omelet, and we liked both flavors very much.
Coffee | Boxcar
- Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Price: $$
The coffee beans at Boxcar are carefully selected by themselves and roasted on-site to guarantee the freshness and taste of the coffee. We tried the Single Origin and Cold Brew, and the quality was excellent. The shop also offers other beverages such as tea, beer, and wine, as well as light meals. The decor is simple and stylish, making it a very nice café.
Tea | Ku Cha House of Tea
- Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Price: $$
Coming across the Ku Cha House was completely random. This is not the Japanese Ku Cha House that sells matcha, but a tea shop run by foreigners. Actually, I rarely visit this type of store, but browsing around was quite interesting. The owner is said to have been to China before, and after returning to Colorado, he missed good tea so much that he opened a shop to sell various types of tea leaves. The products include Chinese tea as well as other different kinds of tea.
This store is located on Pearl Street Mall. Inside, there is actually a TOGO tea bar that sells drinks similar to bubble tea. It's quite convenient to buy a cup and take it with you while shopping, and also to taste their tea leaves.
