Attractions | Lake Powell

Lake Powell, which straddles Arizona and Utah, is a very famous attraction near Page. If you are interested in visiting the lake, you can join the Rainbow Bridge Tour from Wahweap Marina. The Rainbow Bridge is a stone bridge that crosses the canyon naturally. When the light is right, it will appear pink and purple, just like a rainbow. Apart from joining the tour, you can also rent a boat from a boat company to tour the lake on your own or engage in other water activities. Yachts and jet skis can be seen on the calm surface of the lake from time to time.

Of course, you can also drive around the lake. We drove from the south entrance of Wahweap to the north end and back, there are many scenic spots along the way, look at the beautiful blue color of the lake. The blue sky, white clouds and the blue surface of the lake are so beautiful that you can't get enough of it. It is also worth seeing the strange shaped rocks that appear from time to time on the surface of the lake.

The observation deck, not far from the north entrance, offers a panoramic view of the entire canyon.

Attractions | Glen Canyon Dam

Looking further down the road you soon reach Glen Canyon Dam, home of the second largest reservoir in the United States, Glen Canyon Dam, using the abundant water power of the Colorado River. Completed in 1964, it is 1,560 feet high, 300 feet wide, up to 25 feet thick, and holds a spectacular 30 cubic kilometers of water. If you want to know more, the visitor center next to the dam has a detailed introduction. The dam itself is walkable, and free tours are available from the visitor center.

The clear green water of the Colorado River can be seen very clearly from here.

The nearby Glen canyon bridge, which spans both sides of the canyon, is also very impressive. Originally built to build a dam, it is 200 meters above the river and has now become a popular tourist attraction.

Attractions | Horseshoes Bend

Horseshoe Bend, a must-see for tourists, is one of the most popular and world-famous attractions in the Grand Canyon area cut by the Colorado River. After parking your car, you will have to climb a 20-minute trail to the Horseshoe Bay observation deck. The green Colorado River naturally cuts this 300-degree bend, and with the natural red clay canyon walls on both sides, it's not only spectacular but also magical, and the view is even more magnificent than in the photos. From the top, you can see the 300 meter high cliffs, and the wind is so strong that it makes you a little nervous.

If you are willing to take a longer walk, you can walk along the mountain path for 45 minutes after the pier, you can have a closer look at the Rainbow Bridge. We had limited time, so we ended the tour with a view of the lake and mountains.
