When it comes to Swedish food, you may know the meatballs from IKEA. In fact, there are many different kinds of food in Sweden. In Göteborg, most of the main dishes in Swedish restaurants are seafood, so most of the price is also higher. I spent a week in Göteborg on a business trip, so I found a few Swedish restaurants to try, and recorded them here.

Heaven 23
Heaven 23 is located right above my hotel. Although it is a hotel restaurant, it is one of the best in Göteborg. Because it's located on a high floor opposite Liseberg, it's hard to get a table on weekends, but luckily, I came here during the off-peak hours on weekdays, so I didn't have to wait for a table.
The signature dish here is the King size sandwich, which is called a sandwich, but in fact it is a so-called open sandwich, more like a salad. Lots of fresh shrimp on top of vegetables and bread, very refreshing. I ate this dish about three times a week.
Upper house
Upstairs at the other end of the hotel is an upscale restaurant. Prices seem to be a bit higher than Heaven 23, but there are fewer people dining there, and the atmosphere is very quiet. I ordered catfish this day, which was pretty good, but I preferred the bread before the meal, which came with a big plate of cream on the side.

West coast
Fish casserole, according to the translation, is a kind of fish soup, but it is actually a stewed fish.
Restaurant Gabriel
Located in the Feskekorka fish market, this is a very small restaurant, but it is a Michelin restaurant. It is famous for its fresh seafood. I ordered a beer, half a dozen of fresh oysters, and the newest crab of the day. The oysters were great with the beer.
Somm restaurant and wine bar
This restaurant is a high-class restaurant specially arranged by my colleague. Overall, from the food to the wine, it is quite exquisite, so if you are looking for fine dining, it's worth a try. This is the steak for the main course.
Familjen
I also ordered a Swedish fish soup, which looked good, but I don't know if it was because I was spoiled by the high end restaurant a few days ago, but I thought it tasted ordinary at that time.
