I grew up in Taiwan and have lived in four different cities across both the East and West Coasts of the U.S. These days, I’m based in San Francisco.
Back around 2012, I accidentally discovered how much I enjoyed traveling. At the time, I was working as an R&D engineer, but somehow ended up with a job that had me flying all over the place. I visited so many places that I often forgot what I had just experienced.
Smartphones weren’t great back then, and I wasn’t much of a photographer either — so I started blogging to record the sights, thoughts, and moments from my travels. It became a way to reflect and write. Later on, whenever friends asked me about places to visit, I’d pull up my own blog posts and say, “Oh right, I’ve been there! You can do this and that — all my notes are here.” There’s something joyful about organizing your experience and sharing it with others.
