Campers should note that the campgrounds are walk-in, but equipment can be transported to the campgrounds using the park's pushcarts located next to the parking lot. The campgrounds are conveniently equipped with free showers, drinking water, and clean restrooms. The campsites are spaced at a moderate distance from each other so that people can enjoy their privacy. At night, there is no light pollution, making it ideal for stargazing. In the early morning, the entire camp is surrounded by the mist from the river, and the only sounds are birdsong and the gurgling of the Shenandoah River, which is very relaxing.
There is no cell reception in the campground, but if you need to access the Internet in the park, you can go to the nearby Visitor Center, which has WiFi.
